Dedicated in loving memory of Mrs. Miriam Friedman

Eliezer, Abraham's servant, is tasked by his master to find a wife for Isaac. Eliezer begins his journey.

The servant took ten of his master's camels and set out, with all his master's wealth in his hand.

Bereishit 24:10

The Extent of Parenthood

Although Isaac was already 40 years old at the time, Abraham nevertheless went unhesitatingly to all extremes for his son's benefit, for he knew that his role and responsibility as a parent never ends.

Indeed, there is no age limit to the parent-child bond. The unique, spiritual connection between parents and children enables fathers and mothers to remain positive forces in their children's lives forever.

Of course, part of our job as parents is to teach our children to take responsibility for their own lives. But even then, as parents, we remain obligated to be involved, guiding and helping them in their journey through life.
